Meet the team
Our team is made up of London architects, builders and researchers who rigorously seek innovative, sustainable ways to develop tailored solutions, all while having fun with you along the way.
With outstanding service, we support our clients through each stage of the building process, from initial ideas through to construction. For every project, we find sustainable, context-specific responses starting with the creation of a unique ‘Manifesto’ – a creative tool that taps into and defines the story of a building. Our thoughtful and proactive approach creates schemes that exceed client expectations and maximise the project’s overall value.
A London architect practice, the Studio Manifest team operates across the UK.
Ben Powell | Director | RIBA ARB
Ben is an experienced Architect and the Founding Director of Studio Manifest. He shares the practice vision – to make architect designed low energy homes more attainable for all.
Ben is also a lecturer in Architecture at the University of Suffolk and fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Working across both academia, and the construction industry, he is focused on developing meaningful dialogue between these disciplines in order to improve the long term impact that architects have on addressing some of the major societal issues that we face.
Ben has extensive experience designing beautiful, practical and liveable homes, whether it’s an extension, full refurbishment or an entirely new build.
Outside of architecture, Ben has recently taken up kitesurfing and can be found along England’s east coast beaches, camped up in his van waiting for the right swell.
Cecilia Junco Lobato | Architect | ARB
Cecilia joined the team after finishing her Master’s in Architecture from the Universidad Europea in Madrid and has recently completed her Part 3 qualifications at the University of Westminster.
She moved from her native Spain in 2020 and exactly one week into her new role, lockdown hit the UK - its a credit to Cecilia’s skills, work ethic and adaptability that Studio Manifest was able to continue despite the setbacks we all faced.
Throughout university, she was involved in different programmes in Nepal and Kenya building an orphanage and rebuilding houses using local techniques.
She enjoys doing ceramics in a studio in South London and takes any opportunity to travel and discover new places.
Liv Alltree | Part 1 Architect
Liv joined us after graduating from the Leicester School of Architecture with first class honours. She brings an exciting perspective to the team, with an amazing eye for detail and a true passion for all things architecture. She is currently working towards her Part 2 at the London School of Architecture while continuing her work in practice with us.
‘I have a real love for historic architecture. I think there is a great importance in celebrating existing architecture whilst embedding modern techniques and styles within to create a beautiful combination of architecture going forward.’
Liv is a keen netball player, and loves cooking up a storm for her family and friends.
Juliet Darnell | Studio Manager
Prior to joining Studio Manifest, Juliet ran her own catering company for many years, with previous roles in Marketing, Event Management and Operations.
She brings her wealth of organisational and team management experience to Studio Manifest from her home in Somerset, having escaped London life a few years ago with her young family.
She shares our passion for sustainability, and is loving the challenge of bringing her experience to an industry that can make a real difference in the climate crisis.
