  1. The climate and ecological emergency, and the Housing Crisis, are at the heart of our business strategy.

  2. We’re developing our construction details to prioritise the use of low-energy and natural materials, and standardizing these across all projects.

  3. We’re mapping our supply chains in order to understand where the materials we specify come from.

  4. We’re upgrading our specification process to prioritise locally grown and manufactured products.

  5. We are only working with timber suppliers who can guarantee their supply chain is from woodlands that we know are well-managed.

  6. We’re tracking the embodied carbon used on all our schemes.

  7. We have a re-use first policy on all our projects - if materials can be re-used they will.

  8. We design for emotional longevity - our buildings and spaces are designed to withstand the fast-moving trend cycle.

  9. We prioritize quality materials and craftsmanship.

  10. Lifecycle studies are embedded in all our schemes.

  11. We’re asking all our contractors to have a waste management plan to reduce what goes to landfill.

  12. We’re demystifying complex sustainability jargon so that our clients can understand the value of good design.

  13. We’re quashing greenwashing and being transparent about our impact – good and bad.

  14. We’re engaging in research to ensure that we’re constantly improving and challenging ourselves to be better.

  15. We’re part of the Architects Declare movement.

  16. We will report our progress each year.
