Stunning feature on Pitched House in ‘Homebuilding and Renovating’ magazine

Our recently completed Pitched House has been featured in a stunning five double-page spread in November’s Homebuilding & Renovating magazine! This project reimagines a Victorian terrace into a modern family home, complete with a rear extension, loft conversion, and energy-efficient upgrades. The design balances sustainability and functionality, creating a flowing, light-filled communal space connected to the garden.

The feature highlights the collaborative journey with the homeowners, Emily and Jack, from initial sketches to detailed plans, showcasing how thoughtful design transforms older properties for contemporary living. It also shines a light on our commitment to sustainable retrofit design. By using a timber frame and wood fibre construction, we reduced embodied carbon by 50%, while breathable materials enhance air quality and thermal comfort year-round. The saw-tooth roof and timber batten screens combine striking aesthetics with functionality, showcasing how creative spatial planning can deliver an energy-efficient, family-focused home. This project embodies our ethos of designing spaces with longevity and well-being at their core.
